Women's Fund

Overview

The Women’s Fund of Spencer County is a group of strong, caring, and focused women determined to make a difference in the lives of Spencer County’s residents. In 2006, a group of visionary women started the Women’s Fund as a permanent resource to support local, charitable programs.

Mission

To improve the quality of life in Spencer County by collectively funding significant grants to support local programs that give opportunities, encouragement, knowledge, and hope to the Spencer County community.

Our Endowment

The Women’s Fund Endowment is a permanent resource created to address the changing needs and priorities in our community. By building the Endowment, women philanthropists of today are building a long-term source of support for future needs. Unless otherwise requested by the donor, half of each gift to the Women’s Fund is added to its endowment, with the remaining funds used for immediate grantmaking for current needs in the Spencer County community.

In 2025, the Women's Fund granted to the following organizations:

  • $500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Indiana for the High School Bigs Sustainability project
  • $1,000 to Isaiah 117 House Spencer/Perry for food and kitchen supplies for the House in Chrisney, Indiana
  • $500 to Lincoln Hills Development Corporation to provide health insurance navigation services in Spencer County through the Covering Kids & Families program and expand outreach
  • $1,000 to Holly’s House, Inc. for prevention programming for Spencer County students in Kindergarten–6th grade
  • $1,425 to Stir-N-Up Hope Inc. for instructor certifications and continuing education in Equine-Assisted Learning
  • $500 to Dale Women’s Organization for school supplies and Christmas gifts for Spencer County students in need
  • $500 to Junior Achievement of Southwest Indiana to equip students with essential skills in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship
  • $500 to Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra to add a music component to the Learn with Lincoln program for 4th grade Spencer County students
